01
FAQ
+
The Design Challenge is a special incubator track powered by Studio 5. Instead of submitting a finished artwork, you share an idea that mixes heritage + technology. Selected projects are developed further with mentors and tools at the Fab Lab.
Who can apply?
02
+
Any teen aged 13-17 currently living in Qatar. You’ll confirm your age and residence when applying.
What do I need to submit?
03
+
• A motivational video explaining your idea
• A short written description of your project
• Optional sketches or mockups
Do I need technical skills (coding, electronics, etc.) to apply?
04
+
No. What matters most is your creativity and idea. Studio 5 mentors will help with the tech parts.
What is incubation?
05
+
You’ll join 11 sessions at the Studio 5 Fab Lab in Teen Hub between October-November.
You’ll work with mentors & peers, complete challenges and homework, and turn your idea into a working prototype.
What happens if my project is selected?
06
+
You’ll go through incubation, pitch to the Jury in November, and if chosen, showcase your work at Teen Art Awards Qatar in December — with a chance to represent Qatar internationally.
Does it cost anything?
07
+
No. Participation is completely free.
